Crown Her to be presented to an international audience
Houston, Texas: On Tuesday 7th June from 1:00 pm, The Crown Her (Trinidad and Tobago) Project will be launched to an international audience at 113th Annual Rotary International (RI) Convention - Empowering Girls Breakout Session and will be presented by Roger Bose, Past Rotary District 7030 Governor.
The project is one of three (3) selected worldwide, the others presented will be: Literacy for Migrant and Refugee Girls and Women in the Netherlands and Gender-based Violence Prevention Curriculum Development in South Africa. The session will be in person to Conference attendees and also livestreamed at: https://convention.rotary.org/en/houston/virtual-program
About Crown Her:
Crown Her (Trinidad and Tobago) is a Multi-Non-Governmental Organization initiative spearheaded by The Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago and founded by Dr. Nadira Rambocas, with partners including the The Trinidad and Tobago Medical Association, The Greater Tunapuna Chamber of Industry and Commerce, as well as, the Rotary Clubs of Piarco, Sangre Grande, St. Augustine and St. Augustine West.

In December 2020, The Crown Her Project was developed by Initiative Member, Dr Nadira Rambocas together with The Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago. Crown Her was formally launched with partners in November 2021.

This the 113th year of the Rotary International Convention and there are 35,000 Rotary Clubs worldwide. The Empowering Girls Initiative was launched in July 2021 by Shekhar Mehta, RI President.
